·Waterproof & Moisture-Resistant: The stone-plastic composite core is inherently waterproof. It will not swell, warp, or get damaged when exposed to moisture, making it ideal for kitchens, basements, and other prone areas. It is not recommended for full bathroom installations due to potential slipperiness when wet.
·High Abrasion Resistance: Equipped with a strong wear layer (e.g., 0.3mm as in some premium lines), it withstands heavy foot traffic, furniture movement, and is suitable for residential and light commercial use.
·Anti-Impact: The rigid core provides excellent resistance against dents and impacts from dropped objects.
2. Safety & Environmental
· Zero Formaldehyde: Marble design 5G EIR SPC parquet flooring uses no formaldehyde in its composition or installation, often meeting strict international E1 or similar emission standards.
· Fire Retardant: Typically achieves a Class B1 or higher fire resistance rating, meaning it is difficult to ignite and can slow flame spread.
· Slip-Resistant: The surface treatment often provides a degree of slip resistance (e.g., R10 rating), though caution is advised when wet.
· Anti-Mold & Pest Resistant: Its inorganic composition does not provide a food source for mold, mildew, or pests like termites.
3. Easy Installation & Maintenance
· Easy Installation: Most feature a click-lock (snap-together) system that requires no glue, allowing for fast, floating floor installations. It requires a perfectly level subfloor for best results.
· Easy Cleaning: The stain-resistant, waterproof surface only requires regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping with a mild cleaner. Avoid steam mops as high heat can damage the wear layer.
